Switching Majors and More
I recently met a student who “stopped-out” of art school in Philadelphia after three years. She is switching gears and will soon be heading out to Portland, Oregon, where she hopes to study botany. I almost wanted to advise her to complete the fine-arts degree since she has invested so much time and money, and then perhaps look into a botany graduate program. How would an advisor handle such a situation? Any advice?

Re: Switching Majors and More
She'd probably have a tough time getting accepted  into a graduate program in botany without the undergraduate degree in a science.  If botany is what she really wants, then she should probably just go for it now, even if she takes a loss on the credits.
