Cecil College & UMUC  

Cecil College, UMUC OK dual admissions.  Cecil College has signed an articulation agreement with University of Maryland University College, which allows students to be admitted to both institutions and have a seamless transition from associate's to bachelor's degrees.

Students can complete their associate's degrees at Cecil and transfer up to 70 credits to UMUC. For most programs, the bachelor's degree can be completed online.

Nine Cecil majors are aligned with nine UMUC degrees in the partnership.

Students participating in the colleges' alliance can apply for transfer scholarships, which are awarded annually for $3,300 for full-time study and $1,650 for part-time study.

Cecil College and The University of Maryland, Baltimore County have formed a collaboration in which UMBC will co-locate on CCC's campuses and bring baccalaureate level programs to Cecil County by fall 2010. The official announcement and signing took place May 26 at the Battelle Eastern Science and Technology Center in Aberdeen, Md.

The initial articulation agreements are currently being finalized in the areas of engineering, biological sciences and biotechnology; others may be developed in the future. UMBC will offer upper level courses for juniors and seniors and welcome transfer students from CCC and other colleges. Cohesive courses of study will be established in which students engage in a "2 + 2" curriculum by taking their first two years of classes at Cecil College and the next two years at UMBC.
