student and institutional perspectives related to transfer of credit
issues. I thought it was especially
interesting and poignant that Francesca Purcell, Director for Academic Policy for the Board of Higher
Education who chairs the transfer task force pointed out that, “…because
community college students are disproportionately low-income, minorities, and
first-generation college students, a clear transfer process is an issue of
social equity...”
