After
following a cohort of 19,000 students who entered college in 2003 some
interesting findings were reported in a new study by NCES (National Center
for Education Statistics) especially with regard to transfer students. The
study is titled, “Persistence and Attainment of 2003-04 Beginning Postsecondary
Students: After Three Years.” According
to an Inside Higher Education article (http://insidehighered.com/news/2007/08/16/nces),
“Students who changed were less likely to drop out of higher education without
a degree than those who did not transfer.” To review the study for your self go
