High Schools and Community Colleges
More and more I hear about students already in high school working to receive college credit especially from local community colleges that work in collaboration with high schools. This is a great opportunity especially since students are getting college credit and it is part of their high school curriculum – therefore they are not paying tuition for it. In addition they are better prepared for the college curriculum. Why aren’t more high schools providing these opportunities, especially for at-risk youth?

Re: High Schools and Community Colleges
If this is an area that interests you then check out PA Cyber, a new online high school in PA. PA Cyber offers the Early College Program. It is a program in which a high school junior or senior who maintains an A or B average can take college classes at a participating community college and/or 4-year college or university. Classes can be taken online or on campus, and students receive both college credit (issued through the college) and high school credit (issued through PA Cyber). A student can take up to 10 credits per semester. Contact the school at 1-888-PACYBER (1-888-722-9237) for further information or visit http://www.pacyber.org/about/.
