Transfer Scholarships and Financial Aid
Higher education is one of the most important and often biggest investments of your life, and it carries privileges long after you've graduated. RU strives to help you and your family become familiar with and navigate the complexities of financial aid.

Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA: You need to have a minimum cumulative g.p.a. to be considered for admission to Rider as a transfer student. For the education majors, you need to have a minimum cumulative g.p.a. of 2.75.
Official Transcripts: Official transcripts from ALL institutions attended.* Your official high school transcript or a copy of your GED. Applicants who have completed 30 credits at the college level need not submit a high school transcript.
SAT Scores: Standardized test scores are not required for admission consideration.
Letters of Recommendation: Submit two letters of recommendation (preferably one from a professor and one from an employer).
Essay: An essay as required on section IV of the application which is a 150-word essay.
Application Fee: $50 non-refundable application fee.
Interview: An interview is not required for admission consideration.
Other Requirements: Diploma if you have completed fewer than 30 college credits at the time of application. Students who receive federal financial aid must submit a high school transcript to the office of admissions to verify graduation from high school.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade: Generally, courses completed with a grade of C or better that meet comparable Rider course requirements will be accepted for transfer.
Credits (Min/Max): Student transferring from an accredited 2-year institution may receive up to 60 credits, provided these credits are compatible with RU degree requirements. Students transferring from a 4-year institution may transfer up to 90 credits, max of 75 in business
