Transfer Application Requirements

• Minimum GPA:
  You must have earned a 2.5 cumulative GPA and received a passing grade of C or better in both a college-level English and college-level math course to be considered for transfer admission consideration.
• Official Transcripts:
  One letter of recommendation from a professor or an academic advisor submitted via Common App (upon assigning them as a recommender) is required.
• Letters of Recommendation:
  One letter of recommendation from a college professor is required.
• Application Fee:
  There is a $45 non-refundable application fee. This application fee cannot be waived.
• Other Requirements:
  Some majors require additional program specific requirements such as a portfolio or audition.

Transfer Credit Policy

• Minimum Grade:
  Students must have earned a grade of “C” (2.0 GPA weight) or higher in academic courses in order for the courses to be transferred to Howard University.
• Credits (Min/Max):
  A maximum of 60 credit hours from an accredited institution can be transferred.
